According to the reports of the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre (NDARC) there has been a massive increase in the drug induced deaths in the country of Australia, a major part of the death rates consists opioid-induced deaths. The report further highlighted that in the year 2017 there had been 1,084 deaths, and the reason behind this were opioid. Even opioid-induced deaths had been observed in the age group ranging from 15 to 64 years. As per the minute details provided by the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre (NDARC), the deathrate observed among the age bracket 15 to 64 years is 6.7 per 100,000 people. Moreover, nearly 8 of the 10 deaths were marked as accidental. As per the data published by ABS, in the year 2018, Australia witnessed 1,366 deaths in the year 2017, which were basically due to excessive consumption of alcohol. As the substantially high rate of drug and alcohol abuse increases the tendency to commit crimes like, murder and rape. Further, the absenteeism among the factory workers, the casual attitude, and worker manager disputes are also fueled due to the uncontrolled use of alcohol and drugs. Along with this the severe health problems are observed among the users of drug and alcohol, which increases pressure on the health care center and hospital unnecessarily.In this case two types of research designs are used. One of them is descriptive research design. Under the descriptive research design, several case studies of drug as well as alcohol misuse are studied. This include-case studies on accidents due to excessive consumption of drugs, accidents of drunkards while driving. Again, the case studies evidencing accidents of drunk workers, during shift hours, in factories while operating machines, are also analyzed.  Further case studies evidencing increasing crime rates among the alcohol as well as drug addicts are also studied. Case studies focusing on the issues of decreasing rates of the productivity of the firms are also studied. Almost all the case studies indicate to the fact that, the higher is the rates of drug and alcohol abuse, the greater are the rates of accidental death, absenteeism at factories and criminal activities.. As the part of the descriptive research design, several surveys have been conducted. The participants of such survey s are doctors as well as health care workers of top 10 health care centers as well as hospitals of Northern part of Australia. In this case the participants are selected through the process of random sampling. The population was the total number of healthcare workers, doctors as well as nurses of all the 20 health care center and hospitals. With the help of random sampling the total 5 healthcare professionals are selected from each of the healthcare center and hospitals. Hence the sample size in this case was 100. After selecting the sample size, a survey is conducted. During the survey the participants are asked about the number of people who visit the respective centers and hospitals asking treatment for severe health issue induced by excessive alcohol as well as drug consumption, the severity as well as the consequences of the health problems. In the conclusion, it can be said that, with an aim of suggesting ideal path to follow ethics in life Aristotle has combined his metaphysics with the pre-socretic philosophy in this piece of work.
