The journal shows the concept of "telemedicine" would have two different connotations. It can refer to the interconnection within the institutional scope, to perform diagnoses, surgeries and other procedures, or to health care at a distance, connecting the place of residence of the user with the professional who follows up (telehealth or telecare).

The journal is about the growing portfolio of telehealth and telemedicine programs connect hospitals, physicians, and patients around the world. Also, it is about the use digital technologies to provide care, professional counseling and education for patients at a distance. These technologies that allow physicians around the world to quickly access our pediatric experts, recognized around the world. Telehealth Program develops services that help us generate new links with doctors, hospitals, families and patients around the world. The innovative techniques enabled by the Telehealth Program fit perfectly into the focus on high value and first level care. The goal is to provide exceptional pediatric care to all patients, regardless of location and economic status, while reducing overall costs, maintaining quality and improving the patient experience.

Finally the journal indicates that by using interactive and secure video conferencing technologies, one can collaborate live and live with nurses, the family, and the patient. Also, use tools such as digital file uploads and coded messages to manage the flow of information between members of the care team. The goal of the Telehealth Program is to coordinate the care of the patient during all phases (consultation, before hospitalization and after discharge) and ensure that the best quality of clinical care is provided in a convenient and effective way.
