Importance of employee motivation and two ways to achieve motivation
Employee motivation is an essential factor in any business organization. Employee motivation has a key role to play in enhancing the business opportunities as well as ensuring that the organizational goals are achieved effectively (Lazaroiu, 2015). The various forms of motivation in any organization includes incentives given to the employees, achievement of the personal career enhancement as well as fulfilment of the safety needs and basic needs of a person. The most important ways to achieve motivation in the current organization is by ensuing that incentives and monetary benefits are given to the employees who are hard working and diligent (Lazaroiu, 2015). Moreover, due promotions and other benefits given to the employees as performance an incentive also acts as a motivation among the employees.
Convincing higher management to implement new policies
The higher management are not much aware of the technologies that are used in upgrading the organizational policies. While working in a business organization, the business policies might need various changes as well as modifications. However, it is difficult to convince the higher officials (Wilensky, 2015). One policy that might need to be modified is the data privacy act. The data privacy have to be ensured such that the official and sensitive information are not leaked out of the organization. The higher officials are to be convinced by making them understand the adverse effects of not modifying the policy. Moreover, another way of convincing the higher management is to show examples where the organizational loss have been incurred due to the lack of changes in the organizational policies. Since most of the business organizations use the online medium for exchange of information, hence the sensitive information is vulnerable to hacking or being tampered (Wilensky, 2015). Thus, the changes in the data protection and privacy policies are essential and should be considered for revision by the higher authorities.
