You will conduct research and state a proposal. Through the legislative process, your proposal for the problem or concern may influence an idea for change into a law.

"How a Bill Becomes a Law" media.

Answer:

In the contemporary status, the access to quality healthcare services is only limited to the haves. Due to this the have-nots are left behind struggling with their health problems due to the inability to pay for their treatment. Ideally, it is the role of the government to ensure that the disadvantaged can access these crucial services. The government can at some point be charged with the responsibility to transform the health care sector and hence has a great role in providing quality healthcare services to its citizens.

Cases of people suffering to extremes or even dying due to lack of medical attention are not rare scenarios in our communities. We get to know them from experiences, our relatives, friends, and the social media platforms. Many citizens can bear witness that hardly a day goes without one incident. As a medical practitioner have too experienced cases of helpless patients suffer at the medical facilities with no one to attend to them. This is caused by the fact that they have limited finances to pay their dues in order to be attended (McGlynn, 2010). The medical field at this point turns out to be a ‘do me I do you’ game.

Through research conducted among the US citizens, most of the respondents displayed their interest in the reconsideration of the health rights. According to Joondeph(2017), most Americans would favor universal coverage. Though some citizens would advocate for health care to be a privilege, the highest percentage prefers it being a right. Only the financially stable would be content with the prevailing health services states in the United States. In a conversation about this matter over one of the popular social media platforms, participants seemed to be fascinated by the possibility that the health care services would be made free.

This proposal may not seem so friendly to the country’s economy but am certain that is worth an effort (Nahata, Ostaszewski, & Sahoo, 2010). It can only be sensible if we consider that 12-year-old child is living in the streets suffering from leukemia. This selfless being has got no one to call family. Who then can be held liable for his or her medical dues? Similarly, consider this aged woman who has been diagnosed with a kidney failure and needs a transplant soonest possible. Most of these families are so poor even to afford a health insurance cover. This calls for the attention of the government to heal its citizens (American Diabetes Association, 2017). What is of more worth? The economy or the lives of the citizens? The two are mutually coexistent but of more worth are the citizens. They can as well struggle to fit at the extreme levels of the economy.

Precisely, I would recommend that the government subsidizes the health care services. I think this would be a more friendly version of the issue. This would be more favorable for both the economic status of the country and the well-being of the citizens. If this is considered the government will have created an avenue for equality between the high class and the low-class United States’ residents.
