Question:

Write about the project proposal should contain simulation ,matlab and voltage converter it should be related to power.

Answer:

A Voltage Converter is a device which is used in many applications especially during small scale or domestic power generation (A. KANDASWAMY, 2014).  This device is employed to convert a high AC voltage power to a higher DC voltage power by the help of rectifier power diodes, and this process is known as rectification. The device can also be used to convert a high DC voltage to a high AC voltage by the help of inverters; this conversion is made a reality by interchanging the terminals fifty times a second for a 50Hz frequency. This device is majorly applied in the small-scale generation of electricity using solar panel since the solar is producing a DC voltage power which sometimes may be required to be in AC to be used in AC electric appliances or to be connected to micro-grid (H.J. Bergveld, 2013).

Micro-grids are small grids where small-scale power generation are connected to, the micro-grid is then connected to the national grid, but still, it can operate without the national grid. There are some solar panels with in-built micro-converters which convert DC to AC, so the their overall output is AC. For such a panel their output will be needed to be converted to DC if they are required where the power is needed is in DC (H.J. Bergveld, 2013). Voltage converters make the generation and connection of the micro-grid to national grid possible since the output voltage power can easily be converted to the above two mentioned power forms. It also makes it easier to use output power in all appliances which use either AC or DC voltage power.
