2. Based on these 10 aspects and the material in Lesson 8, what can good leadership accomplish? What does "bad" leadership accomplish?

Answers:

The essay majorly focuses on the evaluation of the ten effective characteristics of leadership that are proposed by Larry Spears. The mentioned characteristic of leadership is to a great extent effective and idealized. The application of the mentioned characteristic by Larry Spears can create a transitional environment in the workplace. By following the mentioned characteristics it is possible to become an idealized leader. The workplace can be made a transitional one with the application of the mentioned characteristics. The essay contains a detailed analysis of the application of the theories of the leadership adopted by Chainsaw. In the end of the essay there is a conclusion which includes the effects of the application of the proposed characters of the leadership. The essay towards the end includes the two factors justifying the factors that a good leadership accomplishes and the factors that the bad leadership accomplishes.

The aspects of servant leadership are to some extent idealized. These principles are ideal aspects and the application of the same makes the environment of the workplace an idealized one. The first characteristics include listening which includes the patient listening of the leaders. This aspect includes that a servant leader identifies the wish of a specific group. Listening to the quarries of the group members makes a leader a moral one. Apart from this the second aspect that is the empathy is the situation where the servant tries to empathize with the other members of the group. The characteristic of being a good successful skilled empathetic listener is a moral responsibility of a leader. There is another aspect, like healing, which is considered as a powerful source of transformation. It is the potential of healing the relationships in the workplace. It is definitely one of the moral aspects (Ferch, Spears, McFarland, & Carey, 2015). The awareness is another factor which makes a leader moral. It includes the strengthening of the leader. The leader is supposed to have own sense of serenity. The moral character of the leader also includes the character includes the theory of persuasion. This includes the power of convincing others. The other aspect that was considered by Larry spears was the conceptualization. It opined that it was extremely important for the servant leaders to form a big concept about things. The dreams should be big so that the goals that are to be achieved could be bigger. The aspect of foresight is also a moral one. It is closely related to the idea of foreseeing the outcome of the action and analyzes the same. It is the moral responsibility of the leader to foresee the outcome of any situation to avoid the adverse condition that can come in the future. Apart from this the aspects like stewardship, commitment towards the growth and the building of a stronger community adds up to the moral quality of a leader (Spears, 2010).

With the application of the ten aspects of servant leadership it is possible for Drucker to ease the transition of the workplace. There is pressure of work everywhere, but there are effective ways of avoiding it. The employees can be made to indulge in some sports, to make them indulge in some kind of contest, some relaxation games should be offered to the employees, some attractive incentives should be offered to motivate the employees to increase their production and make them do the work gladly and not just out of pressure (Thompson, 2015). Apart from this some excursions must be organized with the entire team and an annual party must be organized which can also include the arrangement of some cultural programs. These programs are related to the aspects that have been mentioned above. Through the application of the above programs the aspects related to the servant leadership plan can be fulfilled. Through the adoption of the mentioned activities the factors like the growth of the employees, the building of the community, the stewardship, the fact of foreseeing things, the conceptualization of the situations can be met (Parris & Peachey, 2013).

A good leader can accomplish the factors of self-assessment, response to the need of the team member, the knowledge about the organization. He should be a good and a patient listener. He should be able to empathize with the situations of the employees and should have good communication skill with the team members. A good leader must pose the characteristics like the idea of persuasion and healing to make the employees feel good (Robinson, Neubert, & Miller, 2017).

The bad leadership includes the disappointment of the team members regarding his team leader. While a leader becomes indecisive, stubborn and when he is having the concept of blaming his team members it serves as a negative aspect. These characters serve the failure of an individual as a leader (Focht & Ponton, 2015).

Therefore from the above essay this can be concluded that the ten aspects of servant are necessary for the smooth running of the organization. The employees are the pillars of the company they should be taken special care of. The leaders must ensure the well being of the team mates which is possible through the application of the above mentioned aspects of leadership.
