As a department manager you have been asked to identify areas within your organization in need of change, based on the implications of the new regulatory compliance issues. Describe your approach in selecting the HMIS area first prioritized for change (i.e., clinical, management, strategic decision support, or eHealth applications). Outline the considerations for identifying a potential vendor for these services. 

The Cleveland Clinic is a non-profit multi-speciality hospital in Cleveland, Ohio in the United States. The areas that need improvement include the inclusion of more specialists, the setting up of more rooms for the treatment of patients with cardiac problems and for cardiac surgeries as well (Ponikowski et al., 2016).

Certain strategic health sourcing vendors are available for the hospital, including “Excelerate”, a strategic health sourcing centre.

The hospital needs to modify its online healthcare app by providing information of all the facilities available there. Frequent updates need to be made about the number of available beds, the number of hours within which a vacancy is expected etc (Haux et al., 2013).
